The first Laurent patisserie opened in the Como centre in 1993 with Laurent himself in the kitchen, and customers queuing out the door and down the road, attracted by the aroma of fresh baking. 13 years and 11 shops later you can still find Laurent in his new, bigger bakery in Clayton-Melbourne, or Matraville-Sydney, and it is this involvement and attention to detail that keeps his products of the same high quality - and keeps people queuing up for their pastry and coffee!
Australian owned, French inspired, all of the Laurent shops display a wide range of European style bread, stunning French cakes and pastries, savoury classics, and sandwiches in traditional baguettes or focaccias. The charming black and gold rimmed coffee cups imported from Paris, that are unique to Laurent, have developed a following of their own, and you can enjoy a hot drink with your breakfast, lunch or treat.
You can visit Laurent Patisseries seven days a week and experience a taste of Paris, delivered in style. You can dine in for breakfast or lunch and the entire range is also available to take away. Pick up some bread on your way out and ask the staff about ordering cakes for your next dinner party.
