NEW PRODUCTS ARE ALWAYS IN THE PIPELINE.

New products are always in the pipeline, according to client and customer need. For example, when the first Laurent bakery opened, ciabatta was a bread known only by Italians. More recently, as hamburgers have become a high-fashion item there has been growing demand for hamburger rolls of various kinds, including a brioche bun, now one of the most in-demand items.

 

Laurent's range grows every day. There are new products on a regular basis, and products that are seasonal. There is always a new cake for Mother’s Day, as well as specific products for Christmas, and a special range for Easter. One of the most popular and much appreciated is our Valentine's Day collection.

AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST MORNING TEA FUNDRAISER

On Thursday May 24th, we held our Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser!

Held at Como Centre to fundraise for the Cancer Council, for $5, you could enjoy

a small cup of coffee plus a mini croissant or pain au chocolat from Laurent.

 

Every dollar raised will go straight towards Cancer Council Australia to fund

research, support services and prevention programs.

The event was well received with highly positive feedback. Thank you for all your support!

CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY WITH 'LA CHÂTAIGNE'

Celebrating all the wonderful mothers out there this Mother’s Day, we welcome our new

“La Châtaigne” cakes. Share Sunday May 13th with us, and spoil Mum with a chestnut and

vanilla flavoured mousse cake, embedded with whole chestnut pieces, covered with a

deep red chocolate glaze and decorated with white and dark chocolate.

ANNUAL LAURENT BAKERY GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL CHARITY STALL

Laurent held their annual Hot Cross Bun Charity Stall last week, with all proceeds going towards

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal! We're pleased to announce

over $2200 was raised in record time!

 

Our hot cross buns were available from 7.30am, and were a complete success with every box sold.

SOLD OUT - GALETTE DES ROIS - BECOME KING OR QUEEN FOR THE DAY!

French Tradition:

 

The Galette des Rois is a traditional French delicacy baked for Epiphany, on 6th of January. Epiphany corresponds to the moment when the baby Jesus is presented to the Three Kings - Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar, who have arrived from the three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe, to welcome their Saviour. Epiphany incorporates a long standing family tradition to gather together and cut the famous cake.

 

The Galette des Rois is a cake unique with a small charm, the fève (little figurine), hidden inside to be discovered. The one who finds the fève is crowned and chooses his or her queen or king for the day, whilst having all of their greatest wishes realised.

 

Ingredients:

 

Traditionally, a Galette des Rois is filled with frangipane, a sweet almond cream, and is the

confection with which the festival of Epiphany is celebrated at the end of the Christmas season.

 

Artisan bakers create them with acknowledged skill, to the greatest pleasure of the

sweet-toothed. Laurent Bakery, proudly a French artisan bakery, would like to acknowledge and share this tradition with you.
